Having Something Great to Do!

Like we talked about on our Time Well Spent page in using your time wisely, it is also very important to develop A Good Hobby as a wonderful productive outlet that keeps you Focused & Strengthening your skills!

Eventually, you can have more than one, but it's always best to start out with only one thing at first, and stick to a basic routine that you really enjoy and can challenge yourself to get better at as you go...

Some people take on a new hobby to strengthen their own personal Disciplinary Skills by assigning themselves direct days and time schedules to strictly adhere to. This gives them the benefit of their new hobby, and the added direct benefit of learning to Seriously Manage their own actions without slacking or fail. It is a really good plan for someone that wants to master Self-discipline while learning a new hobby skill at the same time. A Win/Win situation!

Hobbies are things that interest you and allow you to grow in different areas and ways. The more you do them, the better you get at them. A hobby can be ANY of the artistic skills listed within the pages of this Inspiration Section, or they can simply be New Ideas of personal interests that you come up with.

Everyday activities such as Most Sports, Basic Exercise, Playing Games, or General Reading for Fun, are NOT Really Hobbies. Even though all of those things are very good things that are good for you, they are still Normal Common Passtimes & Practices in a person's life. Therefore, a hobby is something that you must take on as an Additional Task outside of the normal routines of your daily ventures...

A Good Hobby is something that requires sincere focus, discipline, and a steady based outline, to further your productive nature in the understanding of that area. Hobbies are about doing Natural, Artistic, Creative & Innovative Things that truly Inspire You and are usually Productive in the end.

The following is a basic list of Good Hobby Ideas:

1. Things that have to do with Nature & Natural Surroundings that can be used for Photography, Study, Learning/Documentation, Creative Building, Art, Paintings, Crafts, Sculpture, and etc...

2. Models such as: Railroads, Cars, Trucks, Tractors, Boats, Planes, Spaceships, Military Machines, Kites, Special Assembly Kits, Large Puzzles, and etc...

3. Building New Things, Knitting, Sewing, Fixing Old Things, Upgrading & Remodeling, Redesigning Things, Home & Yard Projects, Growing Planets & Food, Aquaponics or Hydroponics Projects, and etc...

4. Personal Research, Additional Studies of Interest, Learning A New Language, Taking Time to Try New Things, Practice Yoga or Martial Arts, Take Up A Musical Instrument, Learn A New Skill, and etc...

5. Helping Those in Need, Becoming A Part-time Volunteer for a Good Cause, Assistant the Elderly, Tutor A Child, Work with Habitat for Humanity, Raise Money for a Charity, Begin A New Research or Public Aid/Community Project, Join A Good Group, and etc...

6. Be Creative: Write A Book, Create A Calendar, Record A Song or Musical Score, Do Your Own Public Performances or Important Speaking Events, Start A Small Online Business or Project, Use Your Social Media to Help Others Advertise, and etc...

The main thing about having a Hobby is to Stick-to-It!!! Do not get lazy in your work, or else it might mean that you are giving up, or just bored by your choice in a hobby. It is always best to start out with what you like most and keep it Simple & Real! You may even need to take notes as you go - depending on your particular hobby choice... So, always take your time.

Once you truly develop a basic routine, which could be Everyday, Once-A-Week, or On Certain Days/Times, then mark it down on a Daily Calendar & Cross it Out each time you finish. This Action Alone, keeps you Motivated & FEELS GREAT; because you have actually begun to Successfully Manage Yourself & You have the Real Rewarding Sense of Accomplishment when you are done!

Remember, some Hobbies take time and may need a little, or even a LOT of Money $$$ to actually get started in. So, choose a realistic hobby that you can easily afford, and be able to comfortably workaround when you first begin.

Once you get really good at your new hobby and routine, you can also have someone else join you if wish. It's important to Share Your Ideas with others as we talked about in the "Sharing Your Ideas" page of this Inspiration Section.

No matter what truly interests you the most, you can find a way to build a great hobby around it. Just do your Research into what you like, and how to begin in it yourself... If it costs more than you can afford in the beginning, then start out slowly and Learn everything you can about it! As you Learn, you can be working towards your goal of getting what you need to actually do it the way you want; and you will have the time to plan ahead and truly be Ready when you can begin. In the meantime, your personal Plans, Studies & Preparation, will be your pre-hobby to the hobby itself!

Never Give Up On A Good Thing or A Dream!!!

Happy Hobbying... & BIG CHEERS!!!
